Priyanka Chopra Faces Backlash For Being A Hypocrite After Her Wedding Pictures Go Viral
2018 has been a year hogged with Bollywood weddings including Anushka-Virat, Sonam-Anand, Ranveer-Deepika and now Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. The two celebrated their wedding on Saturday at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur and soon after they exchanged vows, the sky lit up with gorgeous fire works to kickstart their wedding festivities.
When these pictures circulated on various social media platforms, the actress received great backlash for being a hypocrite as she herself is the ambassador for Breathefree, a public service initiative for asthma patients. Not only this, few weeks earlier, Priyanka took to Twitter to urge people not to use fire crackers and contribute in making the planet pollution free. She has also appeared in a variety of adverts promoting firecracker free Deepwaalis.

Here is what people had to say:
#PriyankaChopra If you want to give out a message to your fans to not burst crackers on Diwali bec it affects the environment, animals, asthma patients then the same rules apply to your wedding. It's important to practice what you preach! https://t.co/T3ZWph66pY

Some sarcastically declared her as ‘Queen Priyanka’
The Karl Marx Parody account also shared their views:
Priyanka Chopra is asthmatic and animal caring during Diwali, she wears masks in US to show pollution problems, but on her wedding, she wants us to inhale sulphates and monoxides for hours. She can afford to do it because she is a self dependent woman. Don’t troll her Hindu Males

And unfortunately for the newly weds, it didn’t just end there.
Animal rights organisation PETA has also raised concern about the use of a horse and elephant at their nuptials as Nick is said to have arrived on a horseback for the wedding.
On Monday, they tweeted: “Dear Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. Elephants for weddings live in chains and horses are controlled with whips, spiked bits. People are rejecting elephant rides and having horse-free weddings. Congrats, but we regret it was not a happy day for animals.”
