12 year old Malak Zafar has become the first Pakistani to win first place at the 24th International Eiscup Inssbruck, Austria’s largest figure skating competition.
This competition is Austria’s largest figure skating event in the Basic Novice Girls 2 category.
Malak won the two day competition where she represented Spain against 22 other skaters from other countries including Italy and Austria.
The Dubai based skater started figure skating at the age of five. This summer, she conducted figure skating training camps for children in Karachi and Islamabad. She hopes to represent Pakistan in the Winter Olympics one day.
