Jordan’s Princess Sara Zeid visited Quetta on Tuesday as the United Nation’s Special Advisor to the World Food Programme on Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition.
The Princess met with Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani on Tuesday and went to the dignitary during her visit. Her and the chief minister discussed matters relating to nutrition and health with the minister emphasising the priority they give to the health and education sectors.
The chief minister and Princess also discussed plans about polio eradication and the vaccination drive initiated by the provincial government in an effort to eliminate the disease from the region.
The Princess is on a four day visit to Pakistan to highlight the importance of nutrition to women and children.
This is the third time a royal has visited Pakistan this year. Prince William and Kate Middleton visited the country last month, followed by Queen Maxima of the Netherlands.
