A Pakistani man of British nationality, Usman Khan, stabbed two people to death and injured three others in an attack that caused panic in the London Bridge borough in central London.
Police in London have confirmed that the attacker is a 28 year old Pakistani man called Usman Khan who resides in Staffordshire. Police are now carrying out searched in Staffordshire to arrest him.
On Friday, Khan carried out an attack in London Bridge killing two and injuring three others. He is known to have been convicted for terrorism offences in 2012. He was imprisoned for these offences but then released from prison in 2018.
Police explain that Khan was attending an event at Fishmonger’s Hall called ‘Learning Together’. The attack began inside the building but then eventually moved outside before Khan was detained and shot by police.
