On Wednesday, Pakistan President Arif Alvi expressed his disgust towards a recent television program in which the host interviewed children who were victims of sexual abuse without attempting to conceal their identities.

The President expressed his outrage via Twitter where he questioned the editorial policy of the television network and whether the TV channel cared about the psychological impact of the show on the audience or on the children being interviewed.

This is not the first time the President has shed light on the topic of sexual abuse. Last month, President Alvi tweeted his disappointment at statements made by a retired Indian general regarding mass rape of Kashmiri women by security forces in the region.

The President called the comments made by Major General (Retired) SP Sinha ‘disgraceful’ and claimed that his comments were encouraging the rape of women in the region.
