British singer-songwriter and ex-member of the band One Direction has teamed up with Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai to help promote education among girls in Pakistan.

The former One Direction member has collaborated with Malala Yousafzai to help promote education in Pakistan. The singer took to his Instagram to announce this collaboration on Tuesday via a video promoting the Malala Fund.

In the video posted to his social media, it starts off by saying “Her community thinks educating girls brings nothing more than shame. Afsana wants #NothingMore than to go to school. Donate to Malala fund and help every girl learn and lead.”

It adds “Girls want #NothingMore than education, opportunity and equality.”

The singer tagged the social activist in the caption writing “Click the link in bio to see how you can help and learn about the Malala Fund.”

Malala Yousafzai also retweeted the post, jokingly referencing his previous band by captioning her tweet ‘You’re heading in the right direction’.
