On December 12th, hundreds of disgruntled lawyers stormed into the emergency ward of the Punjab Institute of Cardiology.
During the violent protests, 12 patients were killed and 25 doctors sustained injuries in the gathering that took place outside of the Punjab Institute of Cardiology.
The protest turned violent when a number of lawyers stormed into the hospital and damaged equipment, broke windows and damaged police vehicles.
Prime Minister Imran Khan took notice of the incident and directed the Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar to launch an inquiry into the incident.
