After detailed deliberations on the new coronavirus virus on Thursday, the World Health Organisation (WHO) appreciated the measures taken by the Chinese government and announced that “it has not yet become a global health emergency”.
“This is an emergency in China, but it has not yet become a global health emergency,” WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told reporters in Geneva.
Is there really no need to worry?
Even though it has not been declared a global problem as of now, Pakistan still needs to stay alert. As the coronavirus spreads human to human we should not forget that every week about 41 flights, direct or indirect, land in Pakistan.
