Access will be available to 301 whitelisted websites across the state.

According to a notification issued by the home department of the Jammu and Kashmir administration, access to the internet with 2G speed on mobile phones will resume from January 25. Access shall be limited only on whitelisted sites and social media applications will continue to remain out of bounds for the Valley’s residents, it said, adding, data services shall be available on postpaid as well as prepaid sim cards.

Is there any hope of Kashmir’s Independence?

India has only restored Internet. And that too after 5 months of the international community raising eyebrows at the Indian State. Courts in India also declared the complete shutdown of communication as unconstitutional. However, as long as the extremist government of Modi prevails, hope for a free and autonomous Kashmir is futile.
