Around 290 million students are out of school right now as the intensity of the coronavirus grows everyday.

Over 95,000 people are infected and over 3,200 have died to the deadly disease that is now spread over 80 countries.

According to UNESCO’s report 290.5 million kids are out of schools, 13 countries around the globe have closed their schools and some even their offices.

As temporary school closures during crises is not new, UNESCO chief Audrey Azoulay said, “the global scale and speed of the current educational disruption is unparalleled and, if prolonged, could threaten the right to education.”

But what is the latest update?

In California, Governor Gavin Newsom declared emergency as amid the state’s first coronavirus fatality that raised the US death toll to 11. And a cruise ship was kept offshore after passengers and crew members developed symptoms.
