The police registered a case against three men on charges of attempting to rape a seven-year-old child in Shujabad.
The child has been shifted to a hospital and is said has started healing.
The Saddar police are conducting raids to arrest the three suspects. They have assured that when found the rapists will face severe consequences.
What actions can be taken against them?
Under the Zainab alert bill all three rapist could be hung to death if proven guilty.
The bill applies to the Islamabad province and was recently also discussed in the National Assembly.
The bill is named after the 7 year old girl who was also raped and murdered in Multan. The legislation was made to prevent the inhumane act of rape.
