The Christian community of Lahore has taken the decision to not hold any Good Friday events tomorrow, on April 10.
The decision was taken based on the government’s orders for citizens to take precautionary measures against the spread of Covid-19, which includes social distancing. A delegation of Christian community leaders met with CCPO Lahore, before making the official announcement.
Good Friday is a Christian holiday which commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. It is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum on the Friday that precedes Easter Sunday.
