Pakistan will export ventilators this year, says Fawad Chaudhry

What happened: In a tweet, Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry stated that he’s hopeful that Pakistan will start exporting ventilators this year. The National Engineering and Scientific Commission (NESCOM) has developed the ventilator “Pakvent-I” while the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) has developed one called “i-LIVE”.

Details:  Fawad Chaudhry stated that a fourth firm has been issued a license to manufacture ventilators as a result of the efforts the Ministry of Science made during the Covid-19 pandemic. The National Engineering and Scientific Commission (NESCOM) developed “Pakvent-I” while the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) developed the ventilator called “i-LIVE”.

“I am very hopeful that we will start exporting vents this year,” he said, adding a health city was set up in Faisalabad. Furthermore, he also stated that Pakistan will start manufacturing auto disposable syringes in September.
