What happened:

The Information and Broadcasting minister, Fawad Chaudhry, in a press conference, said that the Murree administration had been issuing various alerts for the past one week and a large number of people came to Murree in a short time. It is pertinent to mention that the official numbers recorded revealed that a total of 125,000 vehicles entered Murree during two days. At the same time, in the presser, that minister said, “During the last 48-hours, extraordinary and record-breaking snowfall was witnessed in Murree.”

Subsequently, he claimed, “The record-breaking snowfall and heavy influx led to such a situation.” Upon the direction of PM Imran Khan, Usman Buzdar reached Murree as the army was called, said Fawad Chaudhry. The information and broadcasting minister urged, “Public should not visit the hilly areas and media should spread awareness as there is no capacity to deal with more rush of people.”
