What happened:
A Twitter user named Dhanak Ali (twt/qauseqazza) took to her Twitter account to announce that her mother got offered by Harvard University for the position of a Senior Professor in Genetic Department, “i’m so, so incredibly proud to call this absolute powerhouse my mother.”

The proud daughter writes that her mother lost both her parents at the young age of 13 and 14 but still managed to graduate from an ivy league by making sure her brother also gets college education. Dhanak believes that her mother has proved time and time again that if you can dare to dream it, you can dare to achieve it, “my mother, who has always taught my sister and i to pursue our passions. my mother, who is brilliant (and remarkable) in every sense of the word.”
Dhanak further states that she didn’t learn to be held down by society’s expectations of ‘woman’ because she was raised by a woman who has done nothing but ‘obliterate glass ceilings’ all her life.
