Digital Pakistan: E-stamping system launched by the government Sindh
Sindh’s Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah launched the e-stamping system in the province in collaboration with the PITB, the Board of Revenue Government of Sindh and the National Bank of Pakistan. At the same time, the stamp duty has been reduced from 2% to 1%, as Murad Ali Shah termed a milestone for Sindh province.
Subsequently, while laying out the guidelines, Murad Ali Shah said that the e-stamping challan could be obtained from the NBP or online, as this move would also help the Sindh government tax revenue. Whereas, in order to use the facility, a user needs to have an internet connection and to purchase the judicial stamp paper, he would need to provide data regarding the area the individual needs to purchase.
