What happened:

Two sisters in India’s Madhya Pradesh State married the wrong grooms when a power cut caused a blackout during their joint wedding. The marriage ceremony took place in Madhya Pradesh’s Aslana village, and as DailyMailUK quotes, “The unfortunate blackout wreaked havoc with the proceedings.” 

Details:

The development was further quoted as, “In the confusion of a power outage, the priest continued with the rites but accidentally confused the couples.” At the same time, Ramesh Lal, the bride’s father, claimed that the priest might have gotten confused due to the power outage, as both the sisters’ were in a red dresses.

However, it is still unclear whether the brides knew who they were ere marrying as, “It is a tradition that Indian men also wear a veil of flowers when they are wedding their brides.”
