With no rain prediction and heatwave in Sindh; Emergency imposed across hospitals

What happened:

Pakistan has seen a severe rise in temperatures across the country as part of what has been termed a climate change effect. Despite the MET Department’s prediction of rain in the coming week in parts of the country, it has predicted higher temperatures in Sindh. At the same time, the heatwave in Sindh would affect cities like Jamshoro, Badin, Hyderabad, Ghotki, Jacoabad, Dadu and Sukkur.

Details:

Whereas, the temperature in these parts of Sindh is likely to remain above normal by six to eight degrees Celsius, especially in upper Sindh. On the other hand, Sindh’s health department has declared an emergency while issuing an advisory to all the health facilities across the province. Subsequently, an operating control room has also been established to facilitate the people, alongside the special wards with the availability of ice, AC and backup electricity.
