What happened: The Chinese scientists made a ground-breaking discovery as they studied the rocks gathered by the Chang’e-5 lunar lander. Scientists in China have found out that rocks that were brought from the moon have water in them and “have been confirmed following their testing earth.”
Details: It is pertinent to mention that the lunar lander landed on the moon in December 2020 to gather nearly two kilograms of regolith, a mixture of rocks and lunar soil. The Chinese researchers also looked at the chemical composition of the rocks collected from the moon to understand whether water was present in the rocks.
More: The sample of soil collected by the researchers showed 28.5 parts per million water levels, and they also found mineral appetite. Previously, researchers had speculated via telescopes that H20 was present on the moon.
