Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandia named in TIME’s 100 most influential people of 2022 

What happened: The current CJP Umar Ata Bandia was named the 100 Most Influential People of 2022 by the Times Magazine, as Aitzaz Ahsan penned down CJP’s profile. Umar Ata Bandial’s profile read,  “He is widely respected for his personal integrity, as he, the Columbia and Cambridge-educated jurist, bears the heavy mantle of not just delivering justice but also being seen to do so.”  Details: Umar Ata Bandia was placed in Times Magazine’s leaders’ category and senior lawyer Aitzaz Ahsan wrote his profile. Aitzaz penned down regarding CJP as,  “Pakistan is a nation of more than 220 million, is too big to fail yet too unpredictable to ignore… the polite and understated chief justice of Pakistan and antidote to the rising temperatures.”  The senior lawyer also talked about Umar Ata Bandial’s handling of different crises in a much more skilled manner.
