What happened : Cricket legend, Shoaib Akhtar (@imshoaibakhtar) said on Sunday that he is “utterly disappointed” with the PTV after the state channel announced legal action against him by serving him around a 100m worth recovery notice. Here’s what Shoaib Akhtar tweeted on his account:
Details : PTV had previously said that it has handed the former cricketer a recovery notice for Rs103.3 million in damages for “being absent from programmes during the T20 World Cup and for leaving from his position without serving a notice period.” According to the legal notification, because he resigned without serving the notice period, Akhtar is required to pay Rs3.3 million to the PTV in lieu of three months’ salary. Apart from that, the public broadcaster wanted Rs100 million in damages from Akhtar.
