What happened: Today, a man outside the Parliament House in Islamabad was arrested after a video of him wielding a gun went viral on social media.

Details: Footage showed the man frantically walking on a main road, holding a pistol in one hand and a knife in the other, as several security officials surrounded him to arrest him. Police officials identified the man as a 45-year-old mentally unstable person. The man was trying block the traffic on the D-chowk. According to reports, the police is quoted that they took time to apprehend him as part of a tactical operation. The police recovered pistols from his possession and the man has been taken to the Police Secretariat Station.
How did this fellow manage to get into a high security zone like "D Chawk". This is a serious security lapse. Relevant authorities must take immediate cognizance of this. Those responsible for this lapse must be taken to task forthwith.
