According to US state and county health agencies, the coronavirus death toll in America has crossed 3,000 – a number which is unfortunately much higher than the number of lives lost in the 9/11 terror attacks – and the tally is still increasing. Health officials are warning that Covid-19 could kill as many as 200,000 people in the US, even “if we do things . . . almost perfectly.” On Tuesday, the global count of confirmed numbers reached 800,000. In America, there are more than 160,000 confirmed cases, which is almost double the number announced by China, where the outbreak began towards the end of 2019.
