After Punjab, Sindh governor Kamran Tessori also wants to add prophethood oath in nikahnama

What happened: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori wants a clause in Sindh nikahnamas (marriage certificates) proclaiming the Finality of Prophethood (Khatm-e-Nabuwwat) similar to the one Punjab just added. As reported by Dunya News, Tessori has written a letter to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on the subject. Why? Tessori apparently feels that introducing the provision will demonstrate Muslims’ love for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In his letter, the governor encouraged the chief minister to direct relevant departments on this subject. Tessori went on to say that legislation and directives would be issued soon. What you need to know: The inclusion of the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat provision in the nikahnama was Pervaiz Elahi’s first major policy initiative as Punjab chief minister. It should be noted that Pakistan is the first Muslim country to take such steps.
