ICC Delegation Visits Pakistan for 2025 Champions Trophy Preparations

What you need to know: An International Cricket Council (ICC) team has arrived in Pakistan to review preparations for the 2025 Champions Trophy. The delegation landed in Karachi from Dubai and will begin by inspecting the National Bank Stadium. They will assess ongoing construction and renovations, check the facilities, and receive briefings from PCB officials on administrative and security aspects.


What more: After Karachi, the ICC team will visit Lahore and Rawalpindi to evaluate stadium progress in these cities. This visit is the fourth by an ICC delegation, following previous trips by security, event management, and pitch consultants. The team includes Senior Events Manager Sarah Edgar, Events Manager Aun Muhammad Zaidi, General Manager of Cricket Wasim Khan, Security Manager David Musgrave, and ICC Broadcast Consultant Mansoor Manj.


Also: The delegation’s schedule includes Rawalpindi on Thursday, Lahore on Friday, and their departure for Dubai the next day. Past notable ICC visitors to Pakistan have included former Security Manager David McCrae, Head of Events Chris Tetley, and ICC Pitch Consultant Andy Atkinson.
