Musharraf treason case prosecutor held hostage by unknown men

Akram Sheikh, a former prosecutor in the high treason case against former military leader Pervez Musharraf, has been held hostage at this home and threatened by unknown men.

According to journalist Hamid Mir, Sheikh who is a senior lawyer, had his house broken into by unknown men who then proceeded to search it for almost two hours. Mir explained that following the unknown men proceeded to rob him and then threatened him to “mend his ways” otherwise they would return.

According to  Samaa , the robbery occurred at Akram Sheikh’s farmhouse in Chak Shehzad. The family was locked in a room while the intruders searched the house. Akram Sheikh had himself resigned in July before the denotification, citing the Musharraf treason case as a reason for threats to his personal safety and that of his family.
