National swimmer shot dead outside his residence in Rawalpindi

What happened: On Jan 11, unidentified assailants gunned down a 23 year-old professional swimmer, Muhammad Mustufa Awan, in the Dhok Faryal district of Rawalpindi’s Jatli town. Details: According to the police, Mustafa, who was also an employee of an intelligence agency, was on his way home during his departmental leave and was standing outside his house when he was shot. Police sent the body to the tehsil headquarters hospital for a postmortem examination.
