What happened: Pakistan now ranks third in the world for the largest number of videos taken down from the short video-making platform TikTok. Currently, TikTok has taken down more than 6.5 million videos in Pakistan for violating the community guidelines, making Pakistan the third-ranked country globally for the largest number of videos taken down. Details: TikTok released its Community Guidelines Enforcement Report for Quarter 4 2021, and it stated, “The video application removed 6,563,594 Pakistani videos.” On the other hand, 85 million videos were removed globally to remove the harassment and other negative behaviour policies in their community guidelines.
