Pakistani singer and television host, Rabi Pirzada, has announced that she is leaving the entertainment industry for good following the leak and subsequent social media uproar of her private photos.
Last week, private content surrounding the singer was leaked sparking intense debate on social media as her name skyrocketed to the top twitter trend in the country. Following the breach of privacy, Pirzada took to Twitter to announce her decision to leave the entertainment industry stating, ‘I, Rabi Pirzada, have decided to distance myself from the entertainment industry.’ She further wrote, ‘May Allah forgive my sins and soften others’ hearts towards me’.

Twitter was strife with mixed reactions; some condemning and shaming the singer for profanity while others defended and sympathised with her.
Additionally, the singer launched a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency. The FIA has since confirmed that they have received the complaint and are starting an investigation into the case.
