Severe heatwave ends as Pakistan welcomes pre-monsoon rains ￼
What happened: In Pakistan’s history, the temperatures in May and June remained the highest, with frequent heatwaves and the citizens getting affected. However, the MET Office has predicted that different areas of Punjab and Balochistan will receive the first spell of pre-monsoon rains from Wednesday, June 15.
Details: At the same time, Pakistan’s Meteorological Department has said that the dusty storm winds and rains have entered the country from Iran, and “the winds caused some pre-monsoon rains in various parts of the country.” On the other hand, it has been predicted that Pakistan will experience more than expected rainfalls during the monsoon season. PM Shehbaz Sharif has also advised the concerned departments to take necessary steps in order to avoid disaster.
