These notices were issued after the channels aired live press conferences featuring independent Senator Faisal Vawda and MQM MNA Mustafa Kamal. During these conferences, serious allegations were made against the judiciary, comments were made about judges of superior courts, and ongoing court cases were discussed.


What more: The matter was heard by a four-member bench of the Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa, along with Justices Irfan Saadat Khan, Naeem Akhtar Afghan, and Shahid Bilal Hassan. The court addressed the issue after Faisal Siddiqui, representing 26 of the TV channels, informed the court that these channels had submitted an unconditional apology through a civil miscellaneous application (CMA). The channels assured the court that they would refrain from such practices in the future.
