The Middle East will be witnessing its first NFT art exhibition, hosted by the Commercial Bank of Dubai

What happened: Commercial Bank of Dubai is hosting an NFT art show in the upcoming week at its Dubai International Financial Centre’s digital lab. The exhibition is co-curated by Amrita Sethi, an NFT artist working in the UAE currently. The exhibition: The event will be narrating the tale of how CBD has changed over the last 50 years in the UAE. The story connects the renowned Deira Clock Tower, which is a vital part of CBD’s logo and identity, to the company’s monumental headquarters building. The artwork emphasises how CBD will continue to pave the path for innovation and support the aspirations of current and future generations to maintain the UAE’s long-term viability. Visitors will be able to scan the QR code included in the artwork, and then use the augmented reality function to “see sound” via the artist’s work.  More: Speaking about the NFT art exhibition, CEO of Commercial Bank of Dubai, Bernd van Liner stated: “In the last couple of years, the market for NFTs has grown significantly and many artists across the world are utilising the power of technology to showcase their passion. We are proud to be able to provide a platform to showcase one of the UAE’s finest artists at our Digital Lab.” Furthermore, CBD will be one of the first banks in the world to have its own NFT, with each physical limited edition artwork having its own digital twin NFT.
