To revive tourism, Gwadar International Airport will be inaugurated on Pakistan Day, March 23

What happened: Ahsan Iqbal, the PML-N supremo, announced that the government plans to inaugurate the Gwadar International Airport on March 23, 2023. The Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiates has said that by March 23, the airport will become operational. 

Details: While chairing a high-level meeting, the minister has also directed the authorities to ensure the “inaugurated and shifting of flight operations from old Gwadar Airport to New Gwadar Airport in March next year.” Ahsan Iqbal, during the meeting, also said, “It will be a gift for the people of Balochistan on the occasion of Pakistan Day.” At the same time, Iqbal also announced that the international flight operations at the Quetta airport would by expanded by August 14.
