Pakistan’s government has strongly rejected a report by The New York Times claiming that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) conducted airstrikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen. The Ministry of Information called these media reports completely false and fabricated.
The denial comes after The New York Times published a story citing an anonymous senior military official. The report claimed that Pakistani fighter jets were actively engaging Houthi targets under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.
In response, the Information Ministry shared a screenshot of the NYT article on X (formerly Twitter) and warned international media houses against speculative reporting. The government clarified that details of any military deployment under the defense agreement would only be shared through official, authorized channels.
