This week Pakistan saw a lot of ridiculous and hilarious videos go viral. We do a deep dive of the top three ones from the week.
During a debate on private news channel, Jamiat-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) leader Mufti Kifayatullah claimed that former wife of Imran Khan, Jemima Goldsmith, has a first cousin called Wiki who set up Wikileaks.
The former wife of the PM responded on Wednesday via Twitter Upon hearing this, the news anchor burst into laughter. Kifayatullah further continued, ‘Imran Khan, Jemima, the Goldsmith family, Henry Kissinger and Wikileaks are all part of the same agenda’
For those who don’t speak Urdu – apparently I have a first cousin called “Wiki” – who set up Wikileaks- which is a Zionist tool, supporting Imran Khan’s Zionist agenda. This from a so called Islamic scholar/ cleric…. “Wiki’ cousin hai Jemima ka” https://t.co/BaWmWyPxFt

Another stand out experience from this week was the awful and hazardous smog throughout Lahore. The hashtag #LahoreSmog was trending and videos and images of smog inside homes and on streets were being circulated. That makes this next video all the more unbearable to watch; Zartaj Gul, the Minister for Climate Change, calling the air quality data being shared online inauthentic. She further claimed that the high and dangerous AQI was ‘satisfactory’ and that in order to counter the smog, citizens should stay hydrated.
The third video is a hilarious shot of the Firozabad police conducting an anti-riot drill following the Ayodha Verdict in India. However, some are saying that the drills are oddly reminiscent of the famous Harry Potter sport, Quidditch.
