Most Pakistanis (93%) are in favor of keeping schools open as they believe that children are lagging in education, according to a survey conducted by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan.
Gallup Pakistan took a nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces asking them all the same question that, “Just recently, the government has opened all educational institutions. Some people think that the government should close the schools to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while some people think that schools should remain open as children are lagging in education. Do you think the Pakistani government should keep schools closed or open?” It seems that most of the Pakistanis are unbothered by the third Covid-19 wave and priorities children’s education over health.
