A 28-year-old doctor named Dr. Akash Kumar was shot and killed during a robbery near Teen Talwar, Clifton.
He had withdrawn Rs. 50 lakh from a bank and was traveling in a car with his father and cousin to deposit it at another branch. Armed robbers stopped their vehicle, and a shootout started when the bank’s security guard opened fire. The robbers then fired back.
Dr. Akash was hit in the chest and died from his injuries at the hospital. The robbers managed to steal Rs. 25 lakh before escaping.
Dr Akash’s friends and family members are protesting at Teen Talwar to demand immediate justice.
