Drug consumption is a global issue that needs to be solved but in Pakistan, it has taken a serious turn. Schools in Pakistan have turned into a major hub of drug intake and selling and this is not on! Matlab jis school meh drugs ho raheh hai waha parhai kiya honi hai!
It is estimated that there are 9 million drug addicts between the ages of 15 and 25. This is a huge number and that’s the reason there is huge money to make from this dirty business. The unfortunate part is that most students of elite schools are involved in the activity that messes up their life completely. In an ideal situation, these students should be advocates for drug abuse but they are on the receiving side. Sawal banta hai keh yeh students drugs karteh kiyu hai? One factor that I have heard is that students want to feel “cool” in their school or among their peers. Like, please make us understand how is it “cool” to take drugs, like seriously! If you want to get high on something, be it something that adds value to your life. One of the other most common reasons that students consume drugs is that they want to be part of a friend group that they feel will make their school experience interesting and “fun”. Bhai iss fun seh behter hai keh tum fun nah karo! It is about time that all stakeholders get involved to solve the menace of drug intake in schools.
