No more hikes; Petroleum dealers threaten to shut down stations after Eid 

What happened:  The Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association has announced, and as Tribune quotes,  “It will be going on a nationwide strike as of July 18, shutting down petrol stations all over the country.”  The decision came to light after the federal government led by Shehbaz Sharif has every 15-days announced to increase the petroleum prices in the country.  What you need to know:  The chairman of the association, Abdul Sami Khan, statemen, is quoted by Tribune as,  “It was not possible to continue petroleum sales at the current rate.”  The decision to shut down petrol stations in protest as the association claims it can not sell petroleum products on the current margin.  Also:  At the same time, it has been noted that  “Petroleum officials lamented that the current margin of 3.5% was not sustainable for them.”
