This 100 year-old neurologist is the oldest practising doctor

What happened: The oldest practising doctor in the world, Dr. Howard Tucker, is a 100 years old neurologist from Ohio, United States who says he has no intentions to retire any time soon. Back in 2021,  Dr. Tucker was recognised as the oldest practising physician in the world in February 2021. Details: The doctor still works full time from 9am–6pm. Even though Tucker said he contracted COVID-19 shortly after turning 100 in July, he was still able to instruct his residents using Zoom while he was recovering. The neurosurgeon claimed that despite being in the “at risk” category, he always goes to work doing what he truly loves i.e. caring for patients. The record: The centenarian told Guinness, “I see this Guinness World Records title as a special honour and look upon it as another achievement in a long, satisfying and joyful life.
