What happened: On March 24, the mix martial artist and UFC fighter Conor McGregor was arrested allegedly for dangerous driving on a motorway in Dublin and was pulled over by Gardai between Lucan and Palmerstown. The UFC superstar was charged with dangerous driving and was accused of signing an undertaking before release, to which he took to Twitter and wrote, “Undertaking? That is the auxiliary lane on Dublin’s M50. I was preparing to take the exit..” Though, it is pertinent to mention that this is not the first time the UFC star was arrested for rash driving as McGregor has previous road traffic convictions. Details: In a statement quoted by IndependentUK of the local police station, “The man(McGregor was taken to LucanGarda Station where he was later charged. He has been released pending an appearance before Blanchardstown District Court…” On the other hand, the publication quoted McGregor’s spokesperson as “Mr. McGregor was driving to the gym when Gardai stopped him for alleged road traffic violations. He passed the drug and alcohol tests taken at the station.”
