Anti-terrorism court awards death sentence to suspects involved in Sri Lankan citizen lynching 

What happened:   An Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore has announced life imprisonment to seven suspects involved in the lynching of the Sri Lankan citizen in Sialkot. The ATC announced the verdict in the mob lynching of Sri Lankan citizen Priyantha Kumara in Sialkot; six suspects were awarded death sentences, and the other 76 accused were given two years in prison each.  Details:   Express Tribune quoted the development as,  “One suspect was acquitted, Punjab Prosecution Department Secretary Nadeem Sarwar said in a press conference.”  Other than this, reports claimed,  “89 accused including 9 juveniles were indicted in the case. Videos of lynching made from cell phones of 55 suspects.”
