MET Office has predicted heatwaves in most parts of the country

What happened: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has said that most parts of the country will face an unusual hike in temperatures in March. ARY News quoted Met Office’s warning as,  “The dry period and heatwave conditions in the country may cause water stress to the standing crops, vegetable and orchards.”  Details:   Subsequently, the Met Office has advised the farmers to manage water for their crops and urged the farmers for early harvesting of wheat in Sindh and South Punjab. At the same time, South Punjab, North Balochistan, and Upper Sindh will experience dust-raising gusty wings, and the Pakistan Disaster Management authority has been alerted.
