Over 1000 Pakistanis along with Indian students evacuated from the war-hit Ukraine

What happened: On March 3, the Pakistani Embassy in Ukraine announced that they had evacuated as many as 1435 Pakistanis stuck in Ukraine and shifted them to Poland, Hungary, Romania, Moldova and Slovakia. Subsequently, the Pakistani embassy also helped the stranded Indian students on  “humanitarian grounds,”  as suggested by the Foreign Minister.  Details: On March 3, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, during the press conference, said,  “We are working hard to ensure the students’ safe return, and our embassies are playing a key role.”  Adding to his briefing, the foreign minister said,  “They are kids in distress due to war, and we helped them(Indian students) whatever was possible on a humanitarian basis.”  More: At the same time, the evacuated Pakistani students have been shifted to different countries, and the foreign minister said that all the Pakistani students’ safety had been ensured. However, Shah Mehmood Qureshi further claimed,  “We all know that it is a challenging situation and the Pakistani embassy in Ukraine is playing its due role.”
