CM Sindh inaugurates free of cost robotic surgery centre in SIUT

What happened: Syed Murad Ali Shah, on February 12, inaugurated the centre and said,  “It is a revolutionary step and through this process, even sensitive tissues of the body could also be operated on easily.”  At the same time, CM Sindh applauded the SIUT administration, Dr Adeeb Rizvi, for bringing a state-of-art surgical facility in the province. 

Details: On the other hand, Dr Adeeb Rizvi was quoted by ARY News as,  “We have launched robotic surgery from today and it will be as per the European standards.”  Dr Rizvi added,  “The doctors and other staff will be trained to use the new technology.”  Whereas, the robotic surgery would be provided to patients free of cost as the Sindh government has announced their cooperation with the SIUT team. 

More: It is pertinent to mention that the Centre of Excellence in Robotic Surgery and Training of Pakistan is the first of its kind facility that will be providing free treatment to the patients. Dawn reported the development as,  “The robotic-assisted surgery is the top innovation in the field with its ability to perform fine and precise actions under the command of a human surgeon.”
