After the success of PSL 7, PCB plans to launch PSL-style women league in 2023

What happened: The Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman, Ramiz Raja, has approved launching women PSL in 2023. During a press conference, Tania Malik, the head of the women’s wing in PCB, hinted at the launch of women PSL. A local publication quotes the development,  “The cricket board is keen to promote women’s cricket in Pakistan, and for that reason, the cricket fans will see a women’s T20 league on PSL pattern.”  Details: At the same time, Tania Malick said that Pakistan’s women’s cricket team could beat any cricket team and hoped that the team would reach the semi-finals of the upcoming World Cup. It is pertinent to mention that the PSL-style women’s cricket league was scheduled to launch this year, but as Ramiz Raja said that there is no window for the league during this year, it was moved to 2023. What else:   During the press conference, Tania Malik said,  “Since taking office, women’s cricket has been facing difficulties. Efforts are being made to take steps for the promotion of women’s cricket and women to come forward in every field.”
