Genocidal ‘anti-Muslim’ slogans raised at Kashmir Files screening in India

What happened: On March 15, various publications reported that Anupam Kher starred ‘controversial’ film has come under scrutiny and backlash as the movie’s story deals with the violence against Kashmiris. Whereas, a viral video shared by Mohammed Zubair shows anti-Muslim slogans chanted at a cinema in India. The Kashmir Files was directed by Vivek Agnihotri and was released on March 11. Details: At the same time, the viral video shows a man saying,  “I would urge each and every Hindu to stand against Muslims, as they are dangerous.”  Subsequently, the viral video shows chants of  ‘genocidal’  slogans and the commentator of the video said,  “Every Hindu brother should stop watching the films of Shahrukh Khan, Amir Khan and Salman Khan.”  More: It is pertinent to mention that before the movie’s release, there were a lot of questions around its release, and it has now been released in a tax-free state of India. SaudiGazette quotes the development as,  “The movie has certainly touched a chord among the Kashmiri Pandits, but reviewers have panned the film for lacking nuance…”
