What happened: In yet another development, the Communication Minister Murad Saeed has hinted at suing Imran Khan’s former wife, Murad Saeed, for mentioning “illicit” relations with Imran Khan in his book. The development comes a few days after journalist Mohsin Baig was arrested after a complaint by the minister, Murad Saeed.
Details: Whereas, Dawn quoted Prime Minister Imran Khan justifying the decision of Mohsin Baig’s arrest and said, “justified and according to the law”, but the accused took the law into his own hands and attacked the raiding party.” After a meeting with the premier, Advocate General Niazullah Niazi is quoted by Dawn, “The prime minister has directed me to file a petition/reference against Additional Session Judge Islamabad Zafar Iqbal for giving judgement beyond his mandate before Islamabad High Court chief justice (Athar Minallah).”
