What happened: In a video posted on Tuesday by an anonymous TikTok user, one of the members of the Queen’s Guard can be seen trampling over a boy at the London Tower after he didn’t ‘make way’ for him. Details: Two guardsmen in their grey uniforms and trademark bearskin helmets can be seen marching at the Tower of London. After a guard yelled sternly, “Make way!” alarming people around them, a little child collided with him as he ran over in front of the marching guard. The video went viral instantly and now has 1.8 million views on it. The Ministry of Defence in the United Kingdom reported later that they were aware of the incident and that the guard checked on the boy later, “The on-duty guardsmen alerted members of the public that a patrol was approaching, but the child, unfortunately, unexpectedly ran out in front of the soldier,” he added. More: As the video made rounds on social media, the audience was divided over who was at fault, a TikTok user commented on the video, “Watch all these ppl get pressed about the royal guards doing their job. You don’t move? You get trampled. Easy.”Another user wasn’t happy about this comment and chimed in, “To all the people saying they’re just doing their job. If your job involves trampling children therein lies the problem.”
