What happened: After the completion of a 5-day physical remand, Zahir Jaffer murderer in the Noor Mukadam case, claimed to have killed Noor for cheating on him. On Monday, Zahir’s physical remand was extended for two more days by the Islamabad court.
What’s happening now: Zahir’s parents, Asmat Zakir and Zakir Jaffer along with security guard and servant: Jamil Ahmed & Muhammad Iftikhar are still on remand under sections 109/176/201/501. However as per Omar Quraishi’s tweet which showed a screenshot of a statement by “The Adamjee family” says, ” have not and will not support Zahir Jaffer in any form” further the statement added, ” 23 wholeheartedly and unequivocally support the rule of law” and that justice must be served for Noor Mukadam. According to Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed, Zahir’s name is added to ECL( Exit Control List), hence no chances of the alleged to escape for the time being.
